Email Thread Analysis

Overview

This tool is available on eDiscovery rooms only when Perform Email Thread Analysis room setting is turned On.  This feature works for English and Spanish, Asian characters are not currently supported.

Email Thread Analysis runs on all Emails uploaded to Data Source folders only.  It's recommended that Execute Dedupe room setting is also turned On so to avoid executing ETA on duplicated documents.

After all ETA workflows finish executing, Documents grid will show on the Thread Id column, the id assigned to each document.  Emails that have gone through the ETA process will show a green envelope icon.

Note: If ETA setting for the room is checked and saved after documents were uploaded, it should initiate workflows for all the unprocessed documents.

Email Thread Panel

All documents that are part of the same Thread, are grouped and shown together on the File Information panel, Email Thread section: 

•  Root email
•  Reply email
•  Forwarded email
• Missing email
•  Email Attachment: only documents that are not archives are displayed

The panel will show the email tree when documents are reviewed from Work, Saved Search, All Search Hits, Data Source, Review Sets and Production folders.
