Overview
Room Compare is a tool that allows Admin users only to quickly view and organize all folders and documents in a room as well as move documents and/or folders between rooms.
Getting There
This tool can be accessed by clicking on "Launch Room Compare" from the following places:
- From My Rooms, right clicking on the room
- In the Room, under Tools menu
- In the Room, under Manage room menu
What can be done in Room Compare?
Room Compare tool displays 2 panels. By default, the folder structure and files of the current room are shown. The viewer is also shown on the most right side.
By default, only folders are shown. In order to display the files, the option "Show Files" has to be checked.
The dropdown on the right panel allows to select the Room you wish to compare. You are only able to select Rooms where you are a Room Admin or Power User.
Actions on Folders
The following actions can be performed on the folders:
- New Folder
- Delete
- Rename
- Download
- Export Report (to PDF or Excel)
- Move: folders can be moved within the same panel or from one panel to another (Source and Target rooms match) by using drag and drop. When moving a folder, a grey arrow is displayed on the left side of the destination folder.
- Copy: folders can be copied from one panel to another (Source and Target rooms differ) by using drag and drop. When copying a folder, a grey arrow is displayed on the left side of the destination folder. A window will be popped out in order to confirm copying the folder. In the pop up, you can either choose to just copy the folder structure or copy the folder structure and also the documents.
Actions on Files
The following actions can be performed on Files:
- Download
- Export Report (to PDF or Excel)
- Move: files can be moved (in the same room) or copied (between different rooms) by using drag and drop. A grey arrow will be displayed on the left of the destination folder.
